About Me

My photo
Hi! I'm Elder Lundy and I represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm excited to be serving my mission in the Philippines! For further reading, see Ether 12:6, 27 "6. And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. 27. And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

There was sunshine today -

Hello!

There was sunshine today and I am happy. :)

Funny thing...President Carlos' letter was much the same as yours and Dad's was this week. I think the Lord is trying to tell me something... :)

Sickness isn't getting me down. I keep getting sick. There is nothing I can do about it. I just keep working on.

The work here is good. I am still getting fewer lessons than I am used to, but the work is better quality and conversion is slowly taking place.

Tatay R-- and his son are doing great and progressing towards their baptism. I love them to death. I had an image sweep into my mind last time I taught them... I pictured Tatay in temple clothes facing me, smiling. Everything else was white. If I had to tell someone what Heaven was like, I’d describe that moment.

Tatay R----d is progressing a little more slowly than we anticipated, because of his house renovation. He is still doing great and is really trying to find out if the church is true. He wants it to be, he just doesn't know yet.

Tatay H--- is a big old teddy bear. He has a bit of a speech impediment. His girls are his biggest weakness. He has 2 daughters and a wife, all of whom are members. He loves them and they love him to the point that they are doing everything they can to show him the truth.

Sister L---, 19, friend of Tatay H----'s daughter, is going to be baptized this Saturday. She is ready to go! :)

As a total, we hit 17 lessons this week, even with me getting sick and losing my voice for a couple days. I think I told Bridget a little more about that...

Well, I gotta go.

I love you guys! :*

Bye.

-Elder Lundy
