About Me

My photo
Hi! I'm Elder Lundy and I represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm excited to be serving my mission in the Philippines! For further reading, see Ether 12:6, 27 "6. And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. 27. And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

August 29, 2011

The food at the MTC tastes good, but is absolutely terrible. They feed you 3 large meals a day, and you are never given enough time to work it off. Before I figured out how to eat here, I gained 5-6 pounds. Yesterday I lost 2 pounds during my time playing b-ball and weightlifting and jogging on the track. The food varies a lot in ethnicity, but it’s a set variety. It all tastes the same after a while.
I got sick early this week and was put on bed rest…I was lucky, 3 of my district got strep throat, I didn’t.
My Companion is Elder Machen, he is from Idaho Falls, Idaho, he should be my comp. until I go to the Philippines. He seems rather young (just turned 19 only weeks ago). I’ll send a picture when I can. The picture ordering machine broke down today right before it was my turn to use them. I’ve seen a few friends here. I saw Jason Harless and Spencer Thompson from the Waukesha ward on my first day here. Since then, I have also seen Aaron Ping from the Monroe ward. He’s going to Taiwan. We have had only one Devotional speaker so far, It was Elder Claudio D. Zivic of the 70’s. Devotionals happen on Tuesday nights. Love to everyone. Elder Christopher Lundy
